Sycamore High School Standard Grading System
Accelerated courses are elevated by .5 (a 'B' in a yearlong Accelerated course equals 3.5 quality points). AP courses are elevated by 1.0 (a 'B' in a yearlong AP course equals 4.0 quality points). A= 90-100 B=80-89 C= 70-79 D=60=69 F= 0-59 *Effective summer 2025, dual enrollment (CCP) courses completed in the summer term will be recorded as part of the prior school years second semester.
State Testing Requirements
Students must earn a proficient score on the Ohio state tests for Algebra I and English Language Arts II. Additional Ohio state tests are taken in Geometry, Biology, American History, and United States Government. All tests are taken at the end of the course year in April. Tests may be replaced by Advanced Placement tests in the same subject or College Credit Plus course completion in the subject area.
