Mr.  Taylor Porter

Mr. Taylor Porter became principal of Sycamore High School in 2022. He comes to Sycamore from Cincinnati Public Schools, where he has served as principal of Gamble Montessori High School since 2019. While serving as principal there, he excelled professionally in instructional excellence, community engagement, and curriculum design. The school earned the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Award in 2021, which recognizes schools that strive to reduce environmental impact and costs and improve health and wellness. He led a full curriculum remodel, and was able to grow enrollment by 90%. He has also managed over $17 million in construction projects at Gamble. 

Prior to working for CPS, Mr. Porter was the assistant principal at South High School in Westerville City Schools, excelling in instructional excellence and data-driven instruction. He was able to secure partnerships with local mental health agencies to allow South High to be an exemplar in trauma informed practices in education. 

Mr. Porter has also served as assistant principal of Meadowdale High School in Dayton and principal intern at Middletown High School through the BRIGHT New Leaders for Ohio Schools program. He began his career as a social program specialist for the Public Children Services Association of Ohio, working with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. He also worked as a business analyst for the Ohio Department of Jobs and Families. 

Mr. Porter is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Urban Education Leadership. He has a Masters in Business Administration from OSU and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. 

Mr. Porter and his family are proud residents of  Blue Ash. He is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member for the Afram Plains Foundation and he is the founder of  Ohio Gaps Closers, an organization dedicated to improving academic outcomes for students in the child welfare system.

Dr. Princess Crenshaw joined the administrative team for the 2023-24 school year. 

Dr. Crenshaw has 12 years of educational experience, with over eight years of leadership experience. She has most recently served as the assistant principal of Winton Woods High School, where she established and implemented a positive, high-expectation academic environment for all students.

Since 2021, Dr. Crenshaw has also served as the Adjunct Professor of Leadership for the University of Charleston, West Virginia. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, she taught at Lakota East High School, Mt. Healthy Junior High, and Mt. Healthy HIgh School. 

Dr. Crenshaw earned her doctorate in Executive Leadership from the University of Charleston, her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati, and her Bachelor’s in Education from Bowling Green State University.

Mr. Ashwin Corattiyil

Ashwin Corattiyil has spent 11 years in education, starting his career at Sycamore 11 years ago, where he currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Sycamore High School. He holds an undergraduate degree in Education and Politics and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Before joining Sycamore, Ashwin worked in political policy and on campaigns and served in the US Navy from 2005 to 2009. He is also a proud Sycamore alumnus, graduating with the Class of 2001.

Outside of school, Ashwin enjoys coaching youth sports, spending time with his wife and their two sons, Eli and Isaac, and engaging in activities related to the Aviators.

His dedication to education is deeply personal. “Sycamore has given me its heart and soul for my whole life. I hope to give the kids, families, staff, and community the same in return,” he says.

Mrs. Katelyn Robinson

Katelyn Robinson joined Sycamore in 2024 as the Assistant Principal of Sycamore High School, bringing 11 years of experience in education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a Minor in Psychology from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Education Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma.

Katelyn's career includes five years as a classroom teacher in Math, roles such as Special Education Department Chair, Grade Level Chair, Dean of Students, and Learning Director. This is her third year as an Assistant Principal, with her second year back in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys running, reading, visiting zoos, and spending time with her family. Her husband is pursuing a Master’s in Urban Planning and Design at DAAP, and their 63-pound lap dog, Bear, keeps them busy. Her parents, who are newly retired, enjoy traveling and dog sitting, while her sister teaches 3rd and 4th grade in the Autism Unit in Mason.

Katelyn’s passion for education comes from the joy of being surrounded by people who are learning and discovering. She finds it an honor to be a small part of students' lives as they navigate who they are and who they want to be.

Ashley Gallahar

Ashley Gallahar has spent 11 years in education and began her role as the Assistant Principal of Sycamore High School in 2024. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, proudly cheering for the Wildcats, and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Ashley’s career includes serving as an English Teacher at Lighthouse Community School from 2014 to 2020 and as an Assistant Principal at Holmes High School from 2020 to 2024.

Outside of school, Ashley enjoys traveling, playing sports, and being outdoors with her two kids, aged 9 and 7. She also loves coaching gymnastics and is a passionate fan of UK, the Bengals, and the Columbus Crew.

Her passion for education stems from her belief that all students, families, and communities deserve the opportunity to grow and learn. Ashley is continually inspired by students' resilience and their potential to shape the future, and she values being part of their journey into adulthood and their impact on the community as future citizens.

Mr. Andrew Ovington

Andrew Ovington has dedicated 13 years to the field of education, beginning his tenure at Sycamore 11 years ago. He currently serves as the Athletic Director at Sycamore High School. Andrew holds an undergraduate degree in Education and Politics and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

His experience includes teaching at Sycamore High School for 8 years and serving as an Assistant Principal at both Sycamore High School and Liberty Junior School in Lakota.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and my son, who participates in youth baseball and soccer in Sycamore. 

Andrew’s passion for education is driven by his belief that all students, families, and communities deserve opportunities for growth and learning. He is continually inspired by students' resilience and their potential to impact the future, and he values being a part of their development into young adults and their contributions to the community as future citizens.
