Class Scheduling
During the third quarter, scheduling activities take place to assist each student in selecting appropriate courses for the next school year.
scheduling process
- January Events – Families can learn about course options through the Academic Fair, College Credit Plus presentation, Scarlet Oaks field trip, and teacher recommendations.
- Course Exploration – Students should review the Course Planning Guide and discuss options with their families.
- Online Scheduling – Students enter their course selections online, considering their abilities and four-year high school plan.
- Counselor Meetings – Counselors review course selections with students and finalize plans.
- Final Review – Students and parents can review and make necessary corrections before the scheduling deadline.
Students are expected to create a well-thought-out educational plan before the final deadline.
Items to Remember
Students must follow a schedule that ensures they meet graduation requirements and the minimum for college admission.
Course changes at the start of the school year are only allowed for schedule conflicts, failed courses, completed summer courses, or computer errors.
Students should carefully choose courses with summer assignments, as these courses cannot be dropped due to unfinished work.
