ACT
ACT Information & 2025 Changes
The ACT is a nationally recognized college entrance exam that assesses skills in English, Math, Reading, and Science, with an optional Writing section. Many colleges and universities use ACT scores for admissions and scholarship decisions.
At Sycamore High School:
- All 11th grade students have the opportunity to take the ACT during the school day in 3rd quarter—no registration is required for this school-day test.
-
Students who wish to retake the ACT or test on a national test date must register through act.org and select a nearby test center. SHS is not a test center for national test dates.
