Effective for the 2025-2026 School Year

Our highest level of coursework, previously designated as "Accelerated," will be updated to the title "Honors" to better align with terminology used by area high schools and post-secondary institutions. This change is intended to provide greater clarity for colleges, universities, and families regarding the rigor of these courses. All weighted courses will continue to be marked with an asterisk (*) on the transcript.

The transition to the "Honors" title will occur in a roll-up fashion, beginning with 9th-grade classes in the 2025-2026 school year. In the 2026-2027 school year, the 10th-grade classes will adopt the "Honors" designation, followed by the 11th-grade classes in 2027-2028, and the 12th-grade classes in 2028-2029. This phased approach ensures a smooth implementation of the change across all grade levels
